Mayor Pro-Tem Sweet to Run for Rockwall County Clerk

Rockwall, TX- Rockwall Mayor Pro Tem David Sweet has filed for Rockwall County Clerk in the Republican Primary. Mr. Sweet, a local business and civic leader, is ready to provide the leadership that Rockwall County citizens have come to expect. “Rockwall County is growing at a rapid pace, but quality customer service should not be sacrificed in the midst of growth.” remarks Sweet.

He also points to his record of leadership on City Council and within the community.

His record includes keeping a fiscally conservative eye on the budget, improving customer service to its citizens and, ensuring project deadlines were met such as the 205 By-Pass. “My record shows that my leadership style encourages teamwork and results.” states Sweet.

“My experience as a business manager, civic leader, and family man will be an asset in serving the citizens of Rockwall County. I will ensure that Rockwall County receives the customer service it deserves and exceeds its expectations. This county is a special place and it would an honor to continue to serve.”

David Sweet and his wife Kim have two boys Austin and Brody. He is active in Rotary, First Baptist Church of Rockwall, and a former board member of the Rockwall Boys and Girls Club. Furthermore, he has served as President of both the Rockwall County Republican Men’s Club and Rockwall County Young Republicans.
