Rockwall Helping Hands offers H1N1 Vaccine at Clinic

Helping Hands ClinicHelping Hands of Rockwall County has a supply of H1N1 vaccine for any Rockwall County resident that wants to be vaccinated against the Swine Flu virus. There is no cost for the vaccine, but there is a $10 administration charge. A sliding scale is available to those who cannot afford the administrative fee.

The Health Center of Helping Hands is operated out of the Reeves Service Center at 102 South First Street. The Center serves uninsured and under insured residents of Rockwall County as well as Medicaid and Medicare recipients. Rockwall County residents living at or below 185% of the Federal Poverty Level may qualify for fees based on a sliding scale.

The Health Center of Helping Hands is Rockwall County´s only clinic serving uninsured and underinsured residents. The Center served 4,909 unduplicated patients between July 2007 and June 2008. The Center is also in the process of becoming a preferred Medicaid provider since there are currently no physicians in the County taking new Medicaid patients.
